A DWDM solution from TDC gives you the following
- High capacity over long distances
- The option of building your own infrastructure through both L2 and L3 services
- The option for long-term contracts (IRU)
DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) is a point-to-point capacity, which is established between two customer addresses. As long as you stay within the reach of TDC’s own network, there are no restraints to how far it can reach. The option to use more channels (“colours”) on the same fiber makes it possible to transmit 80 channels 100 Gbit/s per channel on the same fiber.
By using DWDM it is possible to achieve a highly dedicated capacity over long distances.
The DWDM network of TDC will typically be divided in smaller capacities, meaning that we can deliver the following capacities
- 1 Gbit/s
- 10 Gbit/s
- 100 Gbit/s
The connection to the DWDM network will more often happen through Dedicated Fiber from the customer's address to the nearest TDC central. By default, TDC will not deliver DWDM equipment to the customer address.
